What are energy drinks?
i am 13 years old and have been doing many workouts for the past year or so. Mainly old fashioned constant pushups core training plank etc. it has had very good results and I am starting to take it seriously. Unfortunately i am not very knowledgeable about the subject and I was wondering what energy drinks were and how they can be used. And is it ok to be using them at my age.
Energy drinks can vary. Some are packed with electrolytes to keep you hydrated and give you slight energy, such as Gatorade. Other energy drinks have Guarana, Ginseng, and Caffeine. These types of drinks are also loaded with sugar, and other things you wouldn’t want to drink. You especially, being 13, would NOT want to have energy drinks. (ex: Red bull, 5 hour energy etc). These drinks are meant for adults mostly because their bodies are better at handling it. These drinks on commericals say they are harmless, saying there is no crash, no shaking, and say you’ll be fine. The reality is, these drinks are NOT good for you and most likely you will have a crash and have a horrible headache. Just stick to getting plenty of sleep and drink lots of water!
